Application Stage
What you need to submit to apply for an agency.
Application Letter
An application addressed to Bugadde SACCO stating the location of the business, capital, and your account or client number.
Supporting Documents
Photocopy of National ID, business license, and qualifications of the person who will operate the agency (minimum PLE).
Assessment Stage
Candidates are assessed against the following criteria before approval.
Active Membership
Must be a member with an active account for at least the last 6 months.
Business License
Current year trading license is preferred.
Agent's Age
Operator must be above 18 years old.
Duration in Business
At least 6 months of continuous operation.
Premises Ownership
Owned premises preferred, though rented premises can be accepted.
Working Capital
Minimum business working capital of UGX 3,000,000.
Daily Turnover
At least UGX 200,000 daily cash flow and 10 clients a day.
Premise Size & Security
Minimum 6 sqm with a table, lockable drawers and cash box, near a police station.
Location & Accessibility
Premises should be located near a road.
Cleanliness
Premises must be clean and well kept.
Working Hours
At least 8 hours of operation per day.
Branding Space
Should have space available for SACCO branding.
Proximity to Branch
Not more than 15 km from the mother branch/office.
Good Conduct
No criminal record and no negative information in the community.
Security Deposit Required
Approved agents must be willing to deposit UGX 700,000 as security or a commitment fee before their agency is activated.
